Fully expanded leaves (0.1 g) from each Arabidopsis line were homogenized in 1 mL ice-cold extraction buffer and centrifuged at 4 ?C for 20 min. The supernatant was collected and kept on ice for immediate analysis. Hydrogen peroxide content was assayed using a plant hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) assay kit and the superoxide anion content was assayed using a plant superoxide anion (Oxygen free radical, OFR) kit (Shanghai Hengyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Shanghai, China). A microplate reader (Spectra Max M5; Molecular Devices, San Jose, CA, USA) was used to determine hydrogen peroxide and superoxide anion level according to the manufacturer’s instructions (Li et al., 2022). Three biological replicates were performed per treatment.
